About Us


Chef/Owner Richard Esper has a unique pedigree gained from his experience in Las Vegas as a chef for the world-renowned Bellagio Resort and Casino. Richard is an Honors graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas and has received awards such as the Jean-Louis Paladin Foundation Scholarship, as well as being inducted into the Cotes du Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France. Richard spent 7 years as part of the world class culinary team at Bellagio that has received all of the culinary world's highest acclaims and awards. This classification requires the utmost of attention to detail, the highest expectations of quality and service, and an unending desire to be the best. Richard reflects these attributes by bringing this level of service and commitment to his guests of elev. 5900 kitchen and bar. Creating food and service for esteemed clients is his passion and everyone is a VIP when they dine at elev. 5900 kitchen and bar. Richard was also an opening chef of award winning Sirio Ristorante at the ARIA Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.


Richard is married to Shannon, who is solely responsible for the design and creation of elev. 5900's décor. They have two daughters, Mckenna and Lilith who will often be seen participating with mom and dad in the restaurant.
